I'm excited. He's excited. We're all excited! Parmelee Mission Trip Summer 2010

Hey everyone (: It's Jami Felton and Kaitlyn Steinacher coming to you live from the basement of the boys and girls club in Parmelee! We are having a lot of fun and here's a little bit about everything we did Wednesday

We started off the day by waking up and eating breakfast and packing everything up to get ready for the kids to come into the boys and girls club where we are staying. At nine, the kids started coming slowly and a couple hours later there were tons of kids. We played all morning, mostly out on the new playground. We took a break for lunch but as soon as we finished, the kids were all back right away. We played all afternoon and we had our first session of the VBS we came here to put on for the kids. VBS kicked off with some worship with the two of us. We had planned on singing and dancing to three songs, but the kids loved it so much that we sang all ten songs on the dvd we brought. The two of us loved seeing all of the kids singing and dancing and really getting in to worshipping God and it was definitely one of our favorite parts of the day. All of the kids were adorable! After that, Laurel and Maggie led the lesson and we watched Chatter and then finished up the day making picture frames. Everyone here has really enjoyed meeting new kids and building relationships with all of them. Next, we all headed down to the dam to see where the kids go to swim. At first, everyone was a little skeptical of the dam and wasn't too sure about it, but it was just like a lake and some of us even ended up jumping in and swimming with the kids. We all had a ton of fun at the dam and stayed until it was time for dinner. We then had something to eat and fed the kids, too, which is always fun and it's good to just make sure all of the kids are getting something to eat. The rest of the night, we played on the playground and then some of us played basketball with the older boys and got to know them better. Around 9, we headed inside to do devotionals and get all ready for bed. And we're just about to head to bed so good night to all and to all a good night!
